About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Knauf Insulation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine if machines need to be taken out of production for repairs or service
  • Take an active role in the requisitioning of parts/materials necessary for the continued operation of the plant
  • Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and as needed
  • Communicate maintenance issues with other shifts to ensure continuity of operation. Read and record comments in both Maintenance and Production logbooks
  • Remain current on plant and safety matters, participating regularly in department/plant safety meetings
  • Oversee all electrical needs for the facility (lighting, production equipment, systems, etc.)
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
  • Replace defective electrical switches and other fixtures
  • Repair and maintain electrical equipment for building
  • Install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications with regard to electrical requirements
Requirements
  • Education: Two (2) year degree in electrical or trade school certifications for basic PLC, controls troubleshooting, arc flash training, national electrical regulations, high voltage
  • OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License required
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience working with a variety of mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment
