POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Handler II plays a crucial role in the logistics process, responsible for selecting, packing, receiving, and shipping customer orders using Power Industrial Trucks (PIT). This position involves collaboration in a team-oriented environment to enhance productivity and is essential to the distribution team. Success in this role is measured by effective communication, cooperation, and contribution towards achieving operational goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and organize inventory.
  • Accurately pick orders based on provided instructions.
  • Ensure timely shipment of orders.
  • Utilize scanners to read product barcodes.
  • Follow on-screen prompts and instructions for various tasks.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards.
  • Operate various power industrial trucks (PIT) for order picking, inventory management, and loading/unloading operations.
  • Load orders onto trucks for distribution.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Meet established productivity and quality benchmarks.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Possess problem-solving skills and basic mathematical abilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience, preferably with RF & WMS systems.
  • Experience operating forklifts (both stand-up and sit-down), high reach, and electric pallet jacks.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic math and reading skills are essential.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
