Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic regional medical center, dedicated to serving a diverse population.
Our Hospitalists play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of treatment during their stay.Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary physician for patients during their hospitalization.
- Review and analyze patients' medical histories while gathering and prioritizing relevant health data.
- Evaluate and coordinate information to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
- Provide education and consultation to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Collaborate with patients to enhance their health and well-being.
- Practice with consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Participate in peer review and quality assurance initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Practice Environment:
Our facility features a dedicated team of Hospitalists, with a total of 250+ professionals in the Allina Health network. We operate 86 beds and manage 13-16 patient encounters on weekdays. Night shifts are covered through telehealth services, and we offer a full-time schedule with a 7 on 7 off rotation.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent international training required.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Ability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Meet credentialing criteria for hospital privileges as applicable.
- ACLS/BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
