Pulmonary Therapist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Cooley Dickinson Health Care. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to assigned patients, utilizing a range of equipment and techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform pulmonary consultations and make recommendations for modes of therapy, frequency, medication, and duration as requested by attending physicians and supervisors.
• Conduct basic and advanced pulmonary function testing, including blood gas analysis and sleep studies, to diagnose and treat respiratory disorders.
• Provide education and training to patients on disease processes, breathing techniques, and the use of home respiratory therapy equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, charges, and quality control standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.

• Associate degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
• Respiratory Therapist license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics within 3 months of hire or transfer.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
