Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LabCorp. As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and being the face of the company.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, interact with patients and clients, and contribute to the success of our organization. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the company, including participation in our PST Incentive Plan, which offers a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.
  3. Previous experience as a phlebotomist or in a related field.
  4. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  5. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  6. Able to work independently or in a team environment.
  7. Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  8. Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
  9. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  10. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
