**Role Description**

As a Recovery Coach, you will work collaboratively with individuals in crisis to develop personalized support plans and provide guidance to help them maintain control over their lives and recovery process.

Your responsibilities will include engaging and empathizing with individuals, facilitating the development of crisis self-help skills, and assisting individuals in identifying and exercising their rights.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Model the reality that recovery is possible
  • Assist participants in developing the skills necessary to improve the quality of their life
  • Gain and share knowledge of the goals and objectives of the mental health consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Personal experience with mental health services
  • NYS Peer Certification preferred
