Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist / Environmental Technician to join our Safety and Industrial Hygiene practice in the Tri-County area. The successful candidate will perform indoor air quality assessments and surveys, and abatement oversight for asbestos, lead-based paint, and other industrial hygiene projects.
Responsibilities- Perform hazardous building material inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCBs.
- Conduct indoor air quality inspections, water intrusion investigations, and mold assessments.
- Perform radon testing.
- Project oversight and coordination with contractors.
- Operate and maintain instruments, including sampling pumps, calibrators, and microscopes.
- Collect samples as required by various regulatory agencies, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
- Maintain daily logs of activities related to project work.
- Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agency representatives.
- Read project specifications and drawings.
- Prepare reports.
- Travel throughout Florida and Southeast Region of the US.
- 3-10 years of experience in the hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene industry.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Science or Engineering related field.
- Must be able to read project specifications and drawings.
- Prior experience in various aspects of abatement projects.
- Florida Mold Assessor and AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector certifications required.
- Florida Radon Measurement Technician license strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios.
- Intuitive and creative thinker.
- Understanding of surroundings and reason for services provided.
- A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers/clients and offer solutions when needed.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to carry and climb ladders and use hand and power tools.
- Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other safety equipment as needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records check.

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
