Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Technologist to join our Catheterization Laboratory team at Christus Health. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for operating all cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment, performing cath lab duties, and contributing to the general operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment
  • Perform cath lab duties, including scrub assistant, X-ray equipment operation, and digital processing
  • Contribute to the general operation of the department by picking up supplies, stocking supplies, and keeping the work area orderly
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing equipment, catheters, and medications, and ensuring everything is sterile
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment using fluoroscopy machines and other imaging devices to capture clear images of the heart and blood vessels
  • Maintain a sterile environment and prepare the catheterization suite
  • Educate patients about catheterization procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree preferred
  • 1 year of Cath Lab experience preferred
  • Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) required in Louisiana
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) or Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) license in the state of employment is required
  • BLS required
  • ARRT preferred
  • ACLS preferred
