About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Survivability Engineer to join our Specialty Engineering team. In this role, you'll apply your expertise in electrical, electronics, and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering. You'll work closely with our design team, test, reliability, and other engineering disciplines to develop mission analyses, identify MMOD mitigation strategies, and support trade studies.
Key Responsibilities- Apply electrical, electronics, and physics theories to execute various tasks related to Survivability engineering
- Ensure that NASA, commercial, and military space vehicle and missile designs meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments
- Conduct technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs
- Work closely with the design team, test, reliability, and other engineering disciplines in the development of mission analyses, identification of MMOD mitigation strategies, and support trade studies
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Radiation/Nuclear Physics or related engineering discipline (or equivalent)
- Approximately 9 years of professional experience in Survivability engineering
- Experience working with Natural Space Radiation and Manmade Radiation Environments and design hardness
- Experience using Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)
- Active SECRET security clearance
