The Technical Engagement Strategist will play a pivotal role within the Strategic Engagement Directorate, offering technical knowledge in collaborative, civil, and commercial interactions. This position entails performing assessments and evaluations on modifications, enhancements, and prospective advancements across both national and international projects. The specialist will concentrate on space-related interests, scrutinizing both emerging and established technologies and capabilities while evaluating their implications on national systems and interoperability with global and commercial partners. Active involvement in security cooperation discussions, coalition visits, and the governance of the Commercial Integration Cell is essential, contributing to comprehensive government strategies, intelligence briefings, and command communication points.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in international and commercial interactions and strategic planning within a military or governmental framework.
  • Proficiency in multinational military collaboration and commercial engagement.
  • Familiarity with IT systems development and integration processes.
  • Understanding of defense and military operational policies and strategies.
  • Capability to evaluate requirements for military capabilities.
  • Competence in thriving within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Possession of a Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insight into defense and space operational policies and strategies.
  • Knowledge of the technical aspects of coalition, civil, and commercial engagements.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive analyses and generate pertinent insights and recommendations.
  • Skill in aligning technical solutions with strategic goals and priorities.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including international partners and commercial entities.
  • Adaptability to respond to changing mission requirements and technological advancements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • TS/SCI security clearance is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
