Aircraft Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at RDO Equipment Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other technical documents to diagnose and repair aircraft systems and components.
  • Inspect components for damage or defects and perform troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft systems and components.
  • Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components according to maintenance manuals and specifications.
  • Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks to ensure aircraft meets safety and performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, using standard formats and procedures.
  • Clean and refuel aircraft, and assist with storage and maintenance of company aircraft.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct self in a professional manner, presenting a positive image of RDO Equipment Co. and R.D. Offutt Company.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge and skill set.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and customer service.

Requirements:

  • A&P License
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on aircraft
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Physical ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
