Job Summary

As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to new families. Our team of experienced nurses work in various roles, including mother/baby care and labor and delivery, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and assess patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and certified nurse-midwives.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs.
  • Administer medications and provide treatments according to physicians' orders.
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a registered nurse.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or completion within 6 months of date of hire.
  • National Certification Corporation (NCC) or American Nurses Credentialing Center certification preferred.
