Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. You will work closely with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement inclusive curricula that emphasize diversity and promote social-emotional learning.
- Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 and IEPs that offer appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters student empowerment and self-guided learning.
- Teach pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction, and implement strategies to differentiate instruction for all learners in your classroom.
- Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to cultivate community, model our core values, and encourage student achievement.

- Required Experience: A demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1-2 years experience preferred).
