Position Overview and Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse will assess assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care effectively. Responsibilities include assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, conducting various patient tests, and administering medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice. The role emphasizes promoting patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and their families about conditions, medications, and self-care practices. The nurse will rely on their experience and judgment to achieve care objectives and will perform a variety of tasks as needed. This position reports to a unit manager or department head.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Required: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Required: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Required: Certifications in CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (some may be obtained within the first 90 days of employment at no cost).
- Preferred: Experience in Emergency Services as an RN, LPN, or Nurse Technician.
- Letters of Recommendation are encouraged for candidates with less than one year of relevant nursing experience.
- Must successfully complete any pre-employment assessments required by the facility.
Educational Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in Nursing.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Required: C-AHA ACLS
- Required: C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac
- Required: C-AHA PALS
Preferred:
- Z-Do Not Use L-RN License
- C-ENA-Trauma Nursing-TNCC
- Z-DoNotUse-L-TX-TNCC
