Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose vehicle issues
  • Collaborate with the shop foreman or service advisor regarding repairs
  • Communicate additional service needs to the service advisor
  • Coordinate work plans with the shop foreman
  • Provide labor estimates to the service advisor
  • Track repair time and keep the service advisor updated
  • Adhere strictly to dealership policies regarding vehicle care and operations
  • Document repair details for client records
  • Support the training of technician trainees
  • Participate in company and manufacturer training sessions
  • Stay informed about factory technical bulletins
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 1 to 3 months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Certifications

Must possess a valid Operator Driver's License and a State Inspection License.
