Job Summary:
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Complex Aircraft Inspections and Repairs: Conduct thorough inspections and repairs of aircraft systems and structures, ensuring compliance with internal and FAA regulations.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Teams: Collaborate with MTL, STM, and Inspection Department to ensure seamless workflow and accurate documentation.
- Ensure Quality Standards: Verify that all work meets quality standards and specifications, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Protect Customer Property: Safeguard customer property and equipment, storing components and other items securely and safely.
- Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when using external power carts, hydraulic mules, and other equipment.
- Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Provide Training and Support: Train less experienced technicians and provide guidance as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use Company-Provided Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage areas after use.
- Comply with Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety rules and procedures, using protective equipment as required and addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
- Use Material Tracking System: Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.
- Support Aircraft Certification and Testing: Participate in flight tests on aircraft as required, supporting certification and final phase testing.
Requirements:
- Working Knowledge of FAA Regulations: Possess a working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
