Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect assigned areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment, using departmental cleaning procedures and protocols.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and disinfecting machines, according to established procedures.
  • Dispose of infectious waste and trash in accordance with Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  • Respond to emergency spills and clean up incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Report any equipment or facility issues to management in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, including color-coded labels and chemical safety protocols.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the department.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, as well as standing, walking, and squatting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or facilities maintenance.
