Radiology/Mammography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiology/Mammography Technologist to join our team at Grand River Medical Group. As a Radiology/Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic imaging procedures to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure that they meet the required standards.
  • Explain procedures to patients, obtain patient histories, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
  • Apply radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Maintain radiography imaging equipment in good condition and report any malfunctions or failures to the department manager.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
  • Verify that clinicians have ordered the correct exams in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Minimum one year of Radiology Tech experience preferred.
  • Certified Radiology Tech (ARRT)(R) with an active permit to practice in Iowa - required.
  • Mammography board certification (ARRT(R)(M)) - required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - required.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance - required.
