Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our team at KBR in Greenbelt, MD. As a key member of our Agile development environment, you will design and develop innovative tools for the NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) Evolution and Development 3 (EED-3) contract.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop software solutions for the NASA Earthdata Cloud.
  • Ensure adherence to operational agreements and policies, as well as compliance with program and NASA standards and requirements.
  • Leverage industry best practices for automation and scalability of assets.
  • Implement issue detection and alerts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in engineering, including application hosting and cloud services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including networking and serverless services.
  • 3-5 years of programming/scripting experience in C++, BASH, Python, PowerShell, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
