We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to enhance our healthcare team.
Qualifications: We welcome applications from both Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents or practitioners. Our organization emphasizes efficiency, provider engagement, and excellence in service delivery. We value physicians who are committed, collaborative, and possess strong teamwork abilities.
Facility Overview:
- A 180-bed tertiary care and Level III Trauma center.
- Access to a wide range of medical sub-specialties including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology-Oncology, Nephrology, and more.
- Comprehensive surgical sub-specialties available, excluding Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Open ICU with 24/7 intensivist support; hospitalists primarily admit patients to the ICU.
- No Code pager responsibilities; emergency department manages codes.
- Procedures and intubations are not required but may be optional.
- Utilization of Epic EMR system to standardize practices across providers.
Work Schedule:
- Daytime staffing includes 4 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
- Physicians work 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, managing new admissions during designated hours.
- No night shifts; night coverage provided by 2 in-house Nurse Practitioners.
- Each physician is supported by a rounding nurse to assist with administrative tasks and patient care.
- Flexible scheduling allows for a week-on, week-off rotation, totaling 26 weeks annually.
- Average patient census is around 16-18 daily, with seasonal variations.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $300,000 plus a wRVU bonus structure.
- Signing bonus of $50,000 for a 5-year commitment.
- Potential annual earnings of approximately $330,000, with additional moonlighting opportunities.
- Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice coverage, health insurance, and retirement plans.
- All compensation and contracts are standardized across the organization.
