The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team in Upland, CA - Onsite. As an integral part of our operations team, you will support the Service Center Manager in overseeing facility operations, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound freight delivery. Your key responsibilities will include driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with safety standards, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability, and addressing operational challenges to achieve business goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Support: Assist the Service Center Manager in daily operational oversight, ensuring smooth and effective facility operations. Act as the manager's designee in their absence, maintaining operational continuity.
  • Team Development & Engagement: Support in mentoring, motivating, and coaching employees to drive engagement and productivity. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training employees, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Operational Efficiency & Problem-Solving: Monitor operations and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability. Assist in reviewing operational reports and developing action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Customer Relations & Sales Support: Support customer service efforts to maintain relationships and resolve service issues. Collaborate with the sales team to identify and address customer needs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Help maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. Support in resolving driver and equipment issues, such as accidents, log violations, or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of relevant industry experience, with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated accountability. Thorough knowledge of ltl operations, policies, and applicable safety regulations. Customer-oriented mindset.

Compensation
$85,000 annually, based on experience and location. Classification: Exempt, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
