We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and leadership in wound management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care services for patients with various wounds, including those on the plastic surgery service.
- Perform physical exams, provide clinical expertise, collect and document data, and conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Order and schedule laboratory studies, serve as a professional consultant, and coordinate care among interdisciplinary teams.
- Prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, and work collaboratively with healthcare providers and teams to plan and coordinate patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (PA) or Nurse Practitioner program (NP) for adult care.
- Current unrestricted medical license issued by the NCMB (PA) or RN license issued by the NCBON (NP) with approval to practice as a PA or NP.
- Minimum 1-year experience as a PA or NP, with wound care experience strongly preferred.
