Position Summary: The role involves providing specialized knowledge and expertise to the Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) Directorates and the Space Electromagnetic Warfare (SEW) Management and Assessment Team. This includes overseeing the development, presentation, and maintenance of initiatives related to strategic basing, international collaboration, and forward garrisoning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the deployment of new space system programs and rapid response capabilities to support Force Design and Presentation for U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) and allied international partnerships.
- Track and manage all facets of international cooperative programs, including facilities, personnel, funding, and logistics, while assisting HQ SpOC in the formulation and revision of policies and agreements.
- Analyze and recommend SEW system requirements and force structure, ensuring alignment with international partnership interests.
- Coordinate and support basing activities for new deployable capabilities, including conducting site assessments and participating in high-level steering groups.
- Engage with various U.S. Government entities, international partners, and subordinate units to ensure cohesive operations.
- Prepare and support senior leadership for meetings and decision-making forums, fostering regular interactions with U.S. and international senior officials.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of experience in space operations, including at least 6 years in a Major Command or Field Command headquarters environment. Familiarity with classified space operations, Air Force instruction documents, and the use of HQ USSF tools is essential. Comprehensive understanding of document preparation and coordination across various security levels is required.
Compensation: In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $125,000 to $130,000, influenced by factors such as experience, education, skills, and contractual obligations.
