At UConn Health, we are seeking a skilled Per Diem Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Farmington, CT.

This position is accountable for independently performing a full range of technical diagnostic radiologic procedures, including radiographic imaging using digital and computerized technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Positioning and preparing patients for exams
  • Providing immobilization devices as required
  • Selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis
  • Operating equipment as directed
  • Assisting physicians in administering contrast media
  • Providing protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
  • Assisting in performing patient care as necessary
  • Maintaining records and orderliness, cleanliness, and securing/maintaining supplies

Requirements include:

  • Graduation from an ARRT-approved two-year certificate or Associate's degree program in Radiology Technology
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current license to practice radiography in the State of Connecticut
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers

This is a per diem position with flexibility needed for all shifts. No benefits are offered.

Experience and Training:

  • General Experience: Graduation from an ARRT-approved two-year certificate or Associate's degree program in Radiology Technology
  • Special Experience: Candidates must meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
