Job DescriptionAs a Wildfire Planner/Project Manager, you will join our diverse team of fire planning professionals and contribute to the evaluation of wildfire hazard and development of plans to mitigate wildfire risk to communities. Your responsibilities will include managing wildfire planning projects, coordinating with project team members, communicating with clients, and ensuring projects are completed within identified schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the preparation of wildfire planning documents, ensuring technical review and coordination with project team members.
- Analyzing project data and conducting research to inform project-related assessments and recommendations.
- Regularly communicating with project team members and clients throughout the project development process.
- Managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation and project delivery.
- Drafting reports and plans, presenting results to clients and stakeholders.
- Preparing project proposals, scopes, budgets, and timelines, supporting the overall wildfire planning team on other projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in natural resources management, forestry, fire science, environmental planning, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience preparing CEQA or NEPA documents or associated technical reports.
- Experience managing environmental or natural resource management projects, involving coordination with project team members.
- Documented experience with Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs) or wildfire planning projects.
- Experience with conducting community engagement in support of plan preparation.
- Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and associated project budgets.
This position will be based out of one of Dudek's California offices, with occasional project-related travel within California.
