Financial Analyst

The Accountant is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of financial documentation that accurately reflects the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other financial activities.

• Conduct analysis and reconciliation of assigned General Ledger accounts.
• Oversee the management of Certificates of Insurance, including review and initiation.
• Identify and rectify daily discrepancies between inventory on hand and supporting pallet quantities.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable with the general ledger and supporting subsidiaries.
• Align monthly sales reports with the general ledger.
• Prepare and record journal entries as necessary.
• Review costs associated with monthly maintenance parts.
• Compile and submit monthly state and federal reports related to milk.
• Establish cost structures for milk purchase orders.
• Generate intercompany reports on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile third-party billings for employee benefits against the general ledger.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and analyze clearing accounts to correct errors.
• Maintain detailed analysis of utility expenses.
• Produce monthly operational reports.
• Perform banking duties as assigned.
• Prepare annual communications for vendor and buyer ethics.
• Conduct annual reviews of maintenance parts for obsolescence.
• Complete and file the annual State unclaimed property report.
• Assist external auditors by providing necessary account information and documentation for audits.
• Manage monthly rebate accruals and reconciliations.
• Stay informed about acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

• Solid understanding of general financial and cost accounting principles.
• Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, along with accounting software.

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

This role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The ability to lift up to 15 pounds may be required occasionally.
