The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our biocarbon production plant in Williams, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for all operations-related activities, including hiring, training, and leading an operations and maintenance team, as well as developing and executing operational strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the operations team to ensure production, logistics, supply chain management, maintenance, and customer service meet Aymium's standards.
- Manage the plant's P&L, aligning facility operations with financial budgets and corporate guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards specific to biocarbon production.
- Oversee quality control processes to maintain consistent product quality.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing practices to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead capital projects, including regulatory, growth, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, suppliers, customers, and Aymium corporate.
- Develop and lead a team of skilled professionals, including production supervisors, maintenance staff, and quality control personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven experience (minimum 15 years) in managing large-scale production facilities, preferably in continuous process industries.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement programs, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse workforce and interact with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and production management software systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of biocarbon production processes and technologies.
- Experience with environmental management systems and compliance with California's environmental regulations.
A competitive salary range of $175,000 - $225,000 (DOE) annual base, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
