Job Description:

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of shipments and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative tasks for the area or shift, including maintaining filing systems and documents.
  • Interact with customers and contractors to answer questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier, and damage claims.
  • Coordinate the processing of export orders, filling out export paperwork, generating export labels, and maintaining export paperwork.
  • Process returns in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintain paperwork.
  • Manage pallets, including ordering CHEP and white wood pallets for the site, conducting reconciliation of pallet count, and researching large pallet system variances.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a clerk in a warehouse/distribution environment performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping/receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
  • Strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of WMS systems preferred.
  • Experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
