Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in accordance with their individualized plan of care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care, including progress notes and medication administration records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal resident outcomes.
- Clinical experience provided by an approved 100-hour nurse aide course.
- New York State Certified or deemed "waived".
- Ability to speak and write the English language.
- Effective communication skills, including approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness, and nonverbal communication.
- Application of the assessment into the aging process, including height/weight, skin integrity, ADLs, bowel and bladder control.
- Lifts, pulls, pushes residents.
- Stands and walks most of the day.
- Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment, typical of most office jobs.
- Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions.
