Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Knowhirematch. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing structural systems for low to mid-rise structures, including wood, steel, load-bearing light gage steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and masonry.
  • Coordinating information across all disciplines to ensure deliverables are compliant with client expectations and company quality levels.
  • Preparing design calculations, managing the preparation of construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and performing site reviews.
  • Interacting with clients, attending client, architect, and contractor meetings, and managing and supervising/mentoring junior staff.
  • Identifying applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and applying them to the project.
Requirements
  • 15 plus years' minimum experience in structural engineering.
  • Experience with seismic design and shallow and deep foundation system design.
  • Professional license is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines, and bring each to completion.
  • Experience with industry standard software, including Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Revit.
  • Project management experience/ability.
  • Team leadership ability.
