Job Summary

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to fill a locum tenens position in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, collaborating with surgical teams, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Anesthesia Care: Provide anesthesia services to patients, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, surgical teams, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitoring and Intervention: Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed, responding to emergencies and providing critical care interventions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, staying current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education.
Requirements
  • Clinical Expertise: Possess clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques.
  • Critical Thinking and Decision-Making: Demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with surgical teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, stamina, and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Certifications
  • Education: Hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program.
  • Certifications: Possess an active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Virginia and national certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Experience
  • Experience: Possess at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in a similar locum tenens position.
