About the RoleOchsner Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Operate MRI equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
- Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- ARRT registered or unlimited state license
- Clinical MRI experience
- Advanced certification in MRI required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry
The MRI Technologist will work in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent may be at risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
