Job Title: Controls Engineer

CyberTec is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
  • Write PLC code for semi-complex systems utilizing standard practices.
  • Provide support in semi-complex material specification, schematic preparation, bill-of-materials development, and appropriate follow-up.
  • Participate in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction, and improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Independently run semi-complex projects through the project life cycle, including all design, documentation, and forecasting.
  • Assist in complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
  • Troubleshoot programming and electrical issues that arise on site.
  • Interact directly with the customer on site.
Requirements:
  • Current hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. Expertise with Allen Bradley, Schneider Unity, or Siemens TIA Portal preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a working understanding of design, layout, and use of current networks such as Profibus, ASi, and Ethernet.
  • Experience in writing descriptions of operations and developments of controls based physical layouts is expected.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current experience with the rigors of on-site startup/commissioning.
  • Experience with material handling systems is preferred.
  • 4-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities as presented above.
  • Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable
  • Bachelor's Degree or equal in a related discipline.
