Position Overview:

The Golf Shop Sales Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience for our members and guests. This position involves welcoming players, showcasing and selling golf merchandise, and maintaining an inviting environment within the Golf Shop. Ideal candidates will possess a friendly demeanor, a willingness to collaborate, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a spirit of hospitality and friendliness among members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Uphold a pristine and inviting appearance of the golf shop.
  • Assist in the display, receipt, and merchandising of products.
  • Ensure the shop is consistently stocked and organized.
  • Support special order processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of golf merchandise to drive sales.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Accurately process sales transactions using Point-of-Sale systems.
  • Experience in retail is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Manage tee time scheduling, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Provide support for various golf shop operations as required.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in merchandising is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology, including POS systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Retail experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Capability to lift and move merchandise as needed.
  • Knowledge of the golf industry is a plus but not required.
  • Possess a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
