Job Summary:
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is seeking a full-time research faculty member to join our dynamic team. As a research faculty member, you will have the opportunity to establish and grow a robust research program in a department with a diverse research portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and grow a research program in a department with a dynamic and diverse research portfolio
- Conduct research in areas related to obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences, including sexual and reproductive health, environmental health and justice, health disparities, and more
- Develop and implement research projects, including study design, data collection, and analysis
- Collaborate with departmental faculty and staff to advance research goals and objectives
- Secure research funding through grants and other sources
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and reports
- Participate in departmental and university-wide research initiatives and activities
Requirements:
- PhD (or equivalent) or MD degree
- Board Eligible/Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and either licensed or eligible for license in California
- Track record of successful publication of original research and extramural funding
- Interest in broad academic activities, including mentorship, teaching, service, advocacy, and as applicable, clinical care
- Experience and training in community and stakeholder engagement to center equity and anti-racism in research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in research design, implementation, and analysis
- Strong publication record and ability to secure research funding
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
