About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for applying medical ultrasound technology to patients in accordance with doctor's orders, working within the scope of practice defined by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and American Society Radiologic Technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of high-quality ultrasound procedures under minimal supervision utilizing diagnostic ultrasound imaging equipment.
- Document calibration procedures for individual imaging equipment.
- Assist the Radiologist in performing invasive biopsy procedures using the Ultrasound system to pinpoint exact anatomical locations of specified diseased areas for specimen evaluation and diagnosis.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-year scanning experience in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular and Breast Ultrasound preferred.
- ARDMS or ARRT/Sonography certification in Abdomen required within one year.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM, Full Time.
