Process Engineer Role Overview

At Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a Process Engineer, you will work closely with our process engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients in the life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop process systems and equipment for pharmaceutical, biological, and medical device industries.
  • Develop process flow diagrams, prepare energy and mass balances, and conduct cycle time and bottleneck analysis.
  • Collaborate with client personnel to ensure systems are designed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Interface with OEMs/vendors to accomplish equipment sizing and selection.
  • Direct the work performed by CAD designers and facilitate design coordination with controls/automation, utilities, and building systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical and biologics process system engineering/design experience.
  • Knowledge and design experience including CIP/SIP, Support Equipment, and High Purity Water Systems.
  • Working knowledge of process definition methods and FDA and EMA regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with process control methodologies and computer skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
