Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide management of the NICU patient care environment and nursing personnel
  • Deliver patient care on an assigned shift under the direction of the Unit Director and Clinical Nurse Manager
  • Coach and mentor clinical staff to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction
  • Assess staff and unit educational needs and provide learning experiences for staff and students
  • Set standards for high-quality care and work collaboratively with others to achieve patient care goals
Requirements:
  • BSN or MSN required
  • Minimum 2 years NICU Level III/Level IV experience required
  • Current California RN license required
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
  • NRP and PALS from the American Academy of Pediatrics required
  • High risk neonatal specialty certification (CCRN or RNC-NIC) required
  • Two years of charge nurse experience preferred
  • Clinical advancement to CNIII preferred
