Scenic Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Scenic Carpenter to join our team at Drape Kings, a leading provider of event services with over 30 years of experience in the production industry. As a Scenic Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life by constructing and installing theatrical sets, exhibitions, and live event environments.

• Design and build theatrical flats, sets, and exhibitions using a variety of materials and techniques.
• Interpret and work from scale drawings, elevations, and plans to ensure accurate construction and installation.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Lead and manage day crews, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Audio, Video, and Lighting, to ensure seamless integration of all event elements.

• Proven experience in scenic carpentry, set construction, or a related field.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
