Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage project finances, including prompt client invoicing and financial system utilization to monitor project financial status.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including producing detailed project plans and monitoring performance management techniques.
  • Manage change control processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate project information flow between the team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Prepare project budget progress reports and other formal reports.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Ensure awareness of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience as a PM on public sector projects of varying type, primarily public sector, vertical, renovations, deferred maintenance, and tenant improvements.
  • Experience in JOC, design-build, and design-bid-build public contracting.
  • Excellent organization, written, and verbal skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to advise at a strategic level during project conception, including providing advice on different approaches to achieve client objectives.
  • Great time management skills, ensuring projects are managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently, and on time.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Experience working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified.
  • Key information and data are effectively shared and appropriately retained.

Education/Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience as a PM on public sector projects of varying type, primarily public sector, vertical, renovations, deferred maintenance, and tenant improvements.
  • Alternative Delivery experience desired.
  • CCM, PMP, P.E., or an architect.
  • Construction phase experience preferred.
  • Connected/networked within the tri-city region.
