Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist I is a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, responsible for reviewing physician orders, preparing patients, and performing MRI imaging procedures. This role requires advanced knowledge of MRI/MRA and related clinical indicators, as well as the ability to adjust scanning protocols based on patient anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret physician orders and patient information
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including positioning and administering contrast media
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient procedures and results

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program
  • Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT, or MRI Registry-eligible with certification within 12 months of hire
  • Current Indiana MRI Technologist license and healthcare BLS certification
  • 1 year of current or recent experience in MRI scanning preferred
