We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Search & Evaluation - Genetic Medicines Opportunities to join our team. This individual will work with the Research Affairs and Investment teams to lead sourcing and scientific evaluation of cutting-edge genetic medicines opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing Activities: Plan and attend partnering and scientific conferences, conduct literature reviews of strategic technologies, build and maintain relationships with established scientists, entrepreneurs, biotech companies, TTOs, and incubator programs.
  • Scientific Due Diligence: Evaluate technical feasibility, competitive differentiation, preclinical and clinical development, and team capabilities.
  • Lead Review: Review prospective investment company's materials and virtual data rooms.
  • Due Diligence Analysis: Prepare and present due diligence analyses and recommendations in a structured and clear format to a broad internal audience.
  • Consultant and KOL Management: Manage the sourcing, engagement, and direction of consultants and key opinion leaders (KOL).
  • Strategic Framework Development: Lead landscapes across modalities and therapeutic areas based on primary and secondary research and support the development of strategic frameworks.
Requirements
  • Education: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant professional experience, with 1-3 years of experience in business development, technology transfer, or commercialization, and direct experience or a strong working knowledge in areas such as molecular biology, biochemistry, protein engineering, gene editing, and gene delivery.
  • Skills: Strong ability to interface with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, ability to synthesize information from various sources and evaluate alternative approaches, and ability to prepare well-written, well-organized material and to present recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature.
  • Travel up to 25% of time to attend investor, partnering, and scientific conferences and meetings, as necessary.
