Auditor Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and internal policies. This role involves conducting audits, reviews, and investigations to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with FAR and internal policies
- Make recommendations for Approved Vendor list addition/deletion based on audit assessment
- Perform investigations of incidents and events involving external business partners or products
- Maintain records of all audits in accordance with General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System Manual (CASS) policies/procedures
- Provide technical and compliance/regulatory assistance to other departments in support of day-to-day operations
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Three (3) years of commercial aircraft Maintenance, Quality Control, Quality Assurance or applicable Military experience
- Four (4) years' experience in a 14 CFR Part 121 Air Carrier Quality or Maintenance environment (military experience can be used in lieu of 121 experience)
- Thorough working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Possess and maintain a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards
- Previous auditing experience in the 121 Air Carrier or Military Department of Defense (DOD) auditing environment
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
- Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
