Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of critical care nurses, providing exceptional patient care, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of critical care nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Provide education and training to staff on critical care procedures and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and staff performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse required.
- 2 years of management or Charge Nurse experience preferred.
- Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Current ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire, unless currently certified then needs to be maintained.
- 5 hours of acute stroke education annually.
