Productivity Engineer I

About the Role:

The Productivity Engineer I is a key member of our operations team, responsible for developing and implementing engineered production standards, best-method practices, and labor management systems in our high-volume distribution and logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engineered production standards, best-method practices, and labor management systems to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve the SQL-based Production Recording and Labor Management System, ensuring accurate and timely data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and Supervisors to develop and implement best-method practices, standard conditions, and engineered labor standards.
  • Conduct time studies, work measurements, and warehouse floor data collection to support the development of engineered labor standards.
  • Develop and execute queries and reports to analyze data and inform engineering decisions.
  • Assist in the development of processes and mechanisms for labor forecasting, staffing, modeling, incentive performance/bonus reporting, and tracking.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to management on labor analysis and economic justification studies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, such as Industrial/Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL or MS Access databases, with experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities, with experience in time study, work measurement, and warehouse floor data collection.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-exempt associates, operational supervisors, and upper-level management.
  • Available to work varying schedules across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts as needed.
