We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a distribution company in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Reading equipment manuals to understand how to safely operate and properly maintain equipment.
- Troubleshooting equipment to determine specific malfunctioning issues and performing work on equipment to bring it back to full operation.
- Communicating with maintenance and branch management on equipment statuses and maintaining records of maintenance activities.
- Maintaining electronic and paper maintenance logs and instructions.
- Continuous improvement efforts to include reduction of premium cost or poor quality.
- Responsible for assigned jobs in regards to proper maintenance workmanship and completion required in meeting the production schedule.
- Responsible for initiating the requisitioning of needed materials and tooling required performing assigned jobs needed in supporting production requirements.
- Responsible for all assigned organizational and housekeeping activities required to maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient operating work area related to their shift.
- 3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to wear steel toe shoes.
- Manual lifting up to 50lbs.
- Standing for 7 hours at one time.
