Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Monitor Technician to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for continuously observing the telemetry monitor and reporting any unusual changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor telemetry systems to identify any unusual changes or patterns
  • Report any abnormalities to the healthcare team in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient data and telemetry readings

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of basic arrhythmias and ability to recognize abnormal patterns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Working Conditions:

The Per Diem Monitor Technician will work in a hospital setting, with frequent exposure to electronic medical equipment and potentially hazardous materials. The ability to sit for long periods of time and maintain focus during periods of high activity is essential.
