The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000, based on the Nicholas County pay scale and taking into account the teacher's level of experience and education.

This 5th grade classroom teaching position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students. As a lead academic mentor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that meet the requirements of the West Virginia Content Standards and Objectives. You will also work closely with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students.

• Develops and implements lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of WV Content Standards and Objectives
• Works cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students
• Presents subject matter according to guidelines established by WVDE and board policies

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

• A valid teaching certificate licensing you to teach in the specializations and grade levels pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2
• Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate
• Meet the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a
