Job Title: Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at the Elementary Developmental Learning Center in Auburn, WA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of special education experience and a strong commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote learning.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive practices.
