Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage plumbing tasks ranging from basic commercial installations to intricate projects involving multiple plumbing systems across various job sites.
Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary to ensure efficient project execution.
Organize and oversee daily job activities of assistants and subcontractors in line with project scopes.
Identify and address issues related to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays to maintain project momentum.
Keep a daily record of job site activities and report progress to management as required.
Implement approved modifications to project operations as directed by Project Managers or Operations Managers.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, submitting necessary safety reports to the job site or General Contractor (GC).
Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and oversee the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.
Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, supplies, and other project-related expenses.
Work with clients, project managers, and construction management teams to establish project budgets and timelines.
Manage multiple job sites concurrently, traveling between locations to oversee operations and project workflows.
Identify and resolve conflicts and issues as they arise, organizing meetings and collaborating with team members across various roles.
Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability.
Schedule inspections or arrange for inspectors to meet safety and compliance regulations at each job site.
Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Texas Plumbing Journeyman License required, with additional education or certification in plumbing, construction management, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Plumbing Superintendent or in a similar capacity within commercial construction projects, with a strong grasp of plumbing systems and installation practices.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Experience utilizing project management software and tools to monitor progress, manage resources, and communicate effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and achieving project objectives.
Ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks in a dynamic construction environment.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as necessary.
